Business Challenge

At Greenbelt supermarket, consumers usually order groceries through Whatsapp or phone calls. It’s become a cumbersome task - pick, pack and deliver each order; when the item list gets bigger, it’s become even worse. Many customer complaints about delivering wrong items: order delivery takes much time when there are out-of-stock items in customer orders. From both technical and business perspectives, their requirements were precise- they needed the best solution for their business problems.

Operation Challenge

The team’s main challenge was to devise a new way of ordering which is more enjoyable than WhatsApp messages and phone calls for the customer, and to apply a fulfilment method for order processing which makes the home delivery job smarter and easier for the supermarket.

Solution

A mobile app which gives customers a virtual experience similar to what the supermarket sells in the shop; search for products, Add to cart, give delivery address, place an order and wait for the delivery. Customers will make the payment while delivering ordered items to their doorstep
