Introduction
A grocery and restaurant business group with
multiple stores across UAE, when the business
was disrupted by Covid and there was a visible
customer shift towards on line, it was decided to
tap the ongoing demand for online ordering of
food and groceries.
Business Challenge
Technology driven customer shift towards online ordering
impacted retail sectors across the globe, which changed
customer expectations and buying behavior, resulting a
massive change in retailing.
The client wanted the solution to offer a promising online
shopping experience, and leverage the online shopping
experience with brand image of the supermarkets and
restaurant chain they already have.
The platform should have an ecommerce architecture
which should give importance to stores and customer
experience.
Solution
The solution is a blend of services from restaurants and supermarkets. It is online and
local simultaneously. Thus we choose to go hyperlocal in nature.
Our team has built architecture and user interface in order to easily and conveniently
add items to the menu portion.
Rich management dashboard for prompt and fast decision making, Real-time communication
between restaurants and supermarkets with customers and delivery agents. Quick
reordering, store based product listing and independent store admin are few highlights
of the solution.
We used the best possible tech stack for the application, which resulted in a robust,
reliable & future proof set of apps.
What Our Client Sought?
- Client wanted to bring their supermarket and restaurant chains into online, with out loosing the store identity and brand name.
- Hyperlocal & On-Demand: Product presentation, store listing are in the nature of a hyperlocal, mean time we need to give importance to customer’s urge as the solution focuses on food and grocery.
- Keeping hyperlocal and on-demand simultaneously was challenge for us as we need to keep the customer journey quick and prompt till completing payment.
Design & Development Stage
Strategy & Planning
This is the stage where we did the basic planning and strategizing of the solution. All the way from conceptualizing till finalizing the required set of features and functions in the solution.
Designing & Wire framing
At this pre-engineering phase we allocated resources based on root-level building. Design approach, technical consulting and platform architectures were finalized after assessing the market viability. Scalability and customization was the main factors considered to keep the solution future proof.
UI and UX Design
Analyzing buying behavior focusing on the daily needs and foods, we finalized the UI and UX that is exactly in line with customer journey the target audience and business demand.
Development & Implementation
Our expert engineers moved to production stage, later which is rigorously tested for every cases, then staged online for the final launch. At every stage client was informed about the updates and change requests and suggestions were considered. Client and staff were trained on performing day today tasks in the solution.
